About me
My name is Makiya Williams; I am 19 years old, born and raised on the west side of Chicago. I
graduated high school in in Texas. I am a proud sophomore at Langston University, an HBCU
that has truly shaped me into the woman I am becoming. I am a Sociology major and a Regents

McCabe Honor Student, currently maintaining straight A’s and consistently earning a place on
the Dean’s List.
I’m active in several organizations that keep me connected, growing, and giving back:
• English Club
• LUXA (Langston Chi Alpha): a Christian ministry on campus
• NABCJ (National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice)
• 4-H Volunteers/Langston
Each of these experiences helps me grow academically, spiritually, and as a leader in my
community. My dream is to continue representing my HBCU proudly, finish strong, and give
back to the next generation of students just like me.

✨ My Story — Blayze Aroma

Blayze Aroma was born from a deep love of beauty, self-care, and the power of scent. Since I
was young, fragrance has always been more than just something pretty to wear—it was a way to
express emotion, confidence, and identity. Every perfume, every body oil, every butter felt like a
reflection of who I was becoming. Over time, I realized how transformative scent truly is. It
uplifts. It comforts. It carries memories. And it inspires.

As I explored the beauty world, I often felt that certain products didn’t fully speak to the richness
of Black women—the softness of our skin, the uniqueness of our scent preferences, or the way
we use fragrance as part of our daily ritual. I wanted something that truly honored us. At the
same time, my Christian faith shaped the way I approached beauty, self-worth, and purpose. I
wanted to create something that felt beautiful, intentional, and aligned with values of love, grace,
and authenticity.

That’s why Blayze Aroma was created.

Blayze Aroma is for everyone, but it is lovingly crafted with Black women in mind—our glow,
our confidence, our elegance, and our stories. Our products are designed to enhance the beauty
